When I started my direct sales business, I was excited... and terrified. My mom even called it a “scam.” Ouch. Fast forward to today, and she's my #1 fan (sorry, Beyoncé).
At the time, I was stuck in a corporate job that looked good on paper but left me feeling “meh” inside. I craved something bigger, bolder, and more me. Enter: a coworker’s side hustle pitch about discounted products and unlimited potential.
I said yes. Jumped in. And learned the ropes.
I was slow to start—hello, shy introvert—but I stuck with it, found an incredible mentor, and started seeing results. Within months, I was making more money, earning free cars (yes, plural), and living life on my terms.
But here’s the real magic: it wasn’t about the money. It was about the choices.
